Roulette strategies Tips & Tricks
Interestingly enough, mathematicians have been trying to create a system for winning roulette for as long as the game has been around. People have to remember, however, that mathematics won’t always make sense in the realm of gambling. In mathematics, there are formulas for predictable events, but in gambling, there is a slight chance that one player could never win a single game.
For this reason, “strategies” or systems may give the player an edge, but no scheme works all of the time. There are too many unpredictable factors. Roulette wheels don’t keep track of how many times the ball has landed on black or red, nor does it keep track of who is playing in order to follow some arbitrary formula for chance and odds.
In reality, roulette is always in favor of the casino. A player does have a small chance of winning, but there are no true “strategies” that guarantee the player a win. That being said, there is a smart way to play the game.
For example, after eight blacks, it is likely that the next will be a red. The converse is also true.
Here are some tips and tricks that will guarantee a better experience, but not a win.
- There are two factors that determine how much a player wins or loses. It depends both upon the player’s luck, and how soon the player quits. Players who quit while they’re ahead actually win more than players who keep playing. Instead of trying to win back lost money, step back and come back another day to try your luck again. This is a much better strategy than repeatedly losing, which won’t get anyone anywhere. Cut losses early if it’s a bad luck day.
- It is important to set a betting limit before any roulette game. This way, a player can regulate themselves.
- European roulette gives a slightly better chance of winning than North American roulette. Keep this in mind when choosing a game.
- Practice with online roulette before going to a casino. This will save you money and teach you some of the basic betting strategies, if you already don’t know some basic bets.
- Playing double-zero roulette is generally a bad idea. It is likely that a player will lose a lot of money on these types of games.
- Don’t get angry. Anger will only make the losses worse, and gambling destructively is a good way to sink oneself into the poorhouse.
- Play a few winning numbers per spin, and increase bets only when you win. This is a strategy for a much better gaming experience.
